Mint
I bought some mint from Tesco on Monday and I have re-potted it this evening into a bigger pot.
It was heavily pot-bound before, so at least it has space to grow.
I watered it in and then watered the rest of the garden, especially the lawn which is beginning to grow, still in patches.
But at least I can see more green rather than brown earth.
Earlier in the day, I had a look in detail at the seedlings in the veg trug:
There appears to be a couple of parsnips that may have germinated.
Next to them the red onions are doing very well.
I think that there might be a few spinach seedlings, but I don’t think the leeks have germinated yet.
There may be some lettuce seedlings, but the radishes are doing phenomenally well.
Underneath the top row, the carrot seedlings are coming on and I will need to thin them out at some point.
I have at least 5 beetroot seedlings growing next to the carrots.
The next square is empty, then I had sown some cabbage seeds, and it is a little too early for them to peep out of the soil just yet.
Next to that square, there are some spring onion seedlings growing.
The final square is empty, and will hopefully have some more lettuce/radishes in soon.
A couple of the black pots will have some more carrot seeds sown at the weekend.
The dog trough that is covering the one with the stones, will be filled and the Coreopsis will be planted, leaving room for Delphiniums to be planted behind the Coreopsis.
I had an email from T & M this evening to say that the Delphiniums have finally been dispatched, so it seems that I need to get the dog trough ready sooner than later.
There is one container by the trees that needs to be moved so that the Dianthus can get more sunlight.
In fact, the other container with Dianthus needs to be moved too or maybe lift the plants to go in with the Coreopsis and Delphiniums.
Decisions, decisions …
