Marigold

Sunday Afternoon in the garden

The first thing I did was tie the sweet peas to the canes, in the hope they get the message and grow up the canes, then flower and look gorgeous!

Saying that, there are already some flowers beginning to bloom.

The next thing I did was to remove all the weeds and water the Busy Lizzies, they certainly need a drink.

Then, thirdly, I created 4 buckets of Marigolds, placing 2 buckets by the tomatoes, that I also tied the stems to the canes. They are flowering well, so I hope that we get a good crop of tomatoes 🙂

One of the buckets was placed on the round stones in between the Lobelia and Geranium and the final one has been placed by the Californian poppies.

Looked at the Coreopsis and the Delphiniums, both of which are beginning to look fabulous.

Finally, the Courgettes have lots of yellow flowers, which we hope will grow into fruit we can harvest, however the peas have almost died out, so I may grow some more or leave room for the cabbage, cauliflower and maybe swede?

The grass is beginning to grow after its cut the other week, however, Lewis will hopefully be around on Monday as it was too wet on Friday.
