Autumn is here
I have harvested some more French Beans which taste deliciously. The carrots have been all pulled up and eaten, along with the spring onions.
I have yet to harvest the lettuces and beetroot from veg trug 1 and I need to check how the sweet potatoes are doing on Saturday in veg trug 2.
The peas are practically done and so is the Petunia. The Geraniums are still flowering and the pink ones in the pink pots look gorgeous.
Both red and gold raspberries seem to have settled in well and I have received the blackberry patio plant together with the free herb plugs, all of which will be planted out on Saturday.
I might even see Lewis over the weekend as I texted him with a couple of jobs that need doing – ie the front lawn and the hedge need cutting and I would really like my garden bench done so that I can enjoy the indian summer we might get next week, with a cup of coffee in the garden.
My blue moon rose has bloomed beautifully and smells lovely, it reminds me so much of mum 🙂
Other things that I still want to do is sow some Kale and possibly some Cabbage and Cauliflower if I get the time and motivation.
Scrap that, I have ordered 10 x Kale plants and 10 x Spring cabbage plants from Rocket Gardens 🙂
I have found the weed suppressing sheet which I will hopefully put on the right hand side so that I don’t have to waste my energy (what little there is) on pulling weeds!
I would also like to get rid of some weeds that have begun to grow where the bark chips are. It would be so good if I could get rid of the weeds in the dog troughs too, so that I could sow some seeds there too.
