Hydroponics

March 3rd 2024 update

I originally started growing cherry tomatoes and sweet peppers, but they failed to germinate. However, I have 3 bushy basil plants growing and the leaves smell really delicious!

I then planted cos lettuce which has grown really well, indeed one of the plants is going bonkers. The alpine strawberries are also growing well and the coriander seeds have germinated and are going strong.

I will be getting some red robin tomatoes to germinate in the spaces left to use and maybe some more herbs, perhaps oregano.

I have invested in an iDOO 20 Pods Hydroponics Growing Kit or indoor garden. It has a 68cm Adjustable Height, LED Grow Light, Free Timing Setting and 4 Removable Water Tanks.

From the seller:

“This can grow 20 plants at a time. According to the different growth stages, you can adjust the height to help plants absorb energy from LED lights and promoting growth. The max height up to 26.8 inches/68cm. “

“The growing light of this indoor hydroponics system simulate the sunlight spectrum, promote vegetables photosynthesis in any weather and and help plants maintain their optimal growth status.”

“Lighting time is customizable, can set the time according to the specific needs of plants to achieve natural growth and abundant harvests. You have total control over the weather all year round.”

I am really looking forward to using this method of gardening and i hope to have lots of salads, herbs and flowers growing soon.

Lettuce Little Gem, Lettuce Salad Bowl, red and green, Lettuce Cos Paris White, Strawberry Alpine, Cherry Tomato, and as an experiment Carrot Paris Market.

Herbs that I hope to grow are as follows: Basil, Oregano, Lemon Balm, Marjoram, Rocket, Coriander and Cumin.

Other: Lavender, Spearmint, Sunflower, Sweet Peppers
