Monday in the garden
I thought long and hard overnight about the beetroot.
John had a look this morning and they are really tiny – no more than half an inch for the largest one.
So, I pulled them all up and sowed some more Beetroot (Boltardy) seeds in another part of the veg trug. (I can harvest them in 6-8 weeks)
They are in one row, well spaced.
I also sowed some more radishes (French Breakfast) and some more lettuce (Saladin) seeds.
Then, I gave the garden a thorough watering, especially the containers.
I would like to top up the lavender with more compost at some point this week
Going around the garden while watering the plants, I noticed that the Geraniums are starting to flower – soon the blue Lobelia will be joined with bright red Geranium flowers 🙂
