lobelia and geranium

Mow,mom, mow your lawn …

Back from Glastonbury, Lewis came armed with his dads mower and set to doing both front and rear lawns.

Once cut, the rear lawn looked a bit sorry for itself, but in no time it will be back to its lovely self again. With Lewis’s TLC it certainly will!

Time for an update:

Firstly we harvested the few potatoes we had, and they were very tasty. Secondly, i harvested some peas and they went in a chicken curry and were great.

Thirdly, the Coreopsis have bloomed – lovely yellow flowers which I can see from the kitchen door. The Delphiniums are also starting to bloom too.

The Geraniums have come into flower and look fantastic against the blue Lobelia.

The lettuce and rocket are doing well and up until yesterday, both tomato plants had flowers. However, a gust of wind must have broken one of the main stems and now we are not sure if the plant will survive.

So, John decided to plant 2 more tomato plant seeds in an effort to get more tomatoes in time before the weather turns colder.

I have also put some more French Breakfast radishes in the veg trug, 1 lot by the newly growing lettuce and the other by the rocket and the more mature lettuce.

The spring onions look ready to be harvested soon, so when we have a salad next, I will use them.

Oh, and we have a new lawn mower that will be housed in the green house when Lewis has tidied it up. 😉
